The Commissioner of the Revenue is a Constitutional Officer elected to serve a four-year term.

Responsibilities

The Commissioner's Office is responsible for all phases of Personal Property and Business Tangible taxation, assessments of Real Estate, processes and audits State Income Tax returns and Estimated State Income Taxes.

In addition, the Commissioner's office collects Meals Tax, County Business License and Transient Occupancy Tax and Land Use, Exemption for the Elderly and Disabled and Disabled Veterans.
